What email facilities are provided with my account?
You get at least 1 fully featured POP email account with your hosting plan (the number depends on which plan you choose). Each of these accounts has its own address under your domain (e.g. you@yourdomain.com.au). If you already have a preferred email account elsewhere on the web, you can set these accounts up to be forwarded to you. We also set up your main email account to receive any mail to your domain that is an unrecognised name. This allows you to have a number of email aliases without having to set them up explicitly. You can also set up your registered email accounts to receive an unlimited number of email aliases, so that you can redirect an email alias at a specified real mailbox.

Are there any limits on my email account?
We implement a 20MByte disk quota for POP accounts. It is very rare for a POP account to exceed this size, but a limit is necessary to prevent 'forgotten' mailboxes from gradually growing. A mailbox of larger than 20MB is not feasible for shared servers, as downloading mail from such a large mailbox can cause undue strain on system resources. Please note that we always recommend that you set your mail software to delete mail from the server after downloading.

Can I set up a mailing list?
Our Online Shopper plan comes with one Majordomo subscribable mailing list with up to 1,000 subscribers. For more information please look at the Majordomo chapter of our Online Manual.

What are autoresponders?
Autoresponders are a great way for you to respond to your visitors whenever they visit your site for information. You can set up an autoresponder so that, for example, a message sent to prices@yourcompany.com.au results in a pre-written message and price list being automatically emailed back to the sender. All our hosting plans allow you to set up an unlimited number of autoresponders.
